1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BridgeDB ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
BridgeDB is operated by BridgeDB, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BridgeDB provides a platform that enables AI agents and applications to connect to and query your databases through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Our Service includes:
- Database connection management for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Firestore
- MCP endpoint generation for AI agent integration
- Web-based chat interface for database queries
- API access for programmatic database interactions
- Query logging and analytics
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
4. Database Connections and Data
When you connect a database to BridgeDB:
- Your Data Stays Yours: You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of any data accessed through your database connections.
- Read-Only Access: By default, BridgeDB only executes SELECT queries. We do not modify, delete, or write data to your database unless you explicitly enable write access.
- Connection Security: Database connection strings are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and stored securely. We never log your credentials in plain text.
- Your Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect your database and that doing so complies with your organization's policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Access databases or data you do not have permission to access
- Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service for competitive analysis or to build a competing product
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
6. API and MCP Usage
If you use our API or MCP endpoints:
- You must use API keys securely and not share them publicly
- API rate limits apply based on your subscription plan
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs using your API keys
- We may revoke API access for violations of these Terms
7. Subscription and Payments
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription:
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible
- Experience unplanned outages due to technical issues
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BridgeDB, Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIDGEDB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to your databases
- Damages resulting from AI agent actions or queries
- Service interruptions or data loss
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BridgeDB, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
- We may delete your account and associated data
- You may request a copy of your data before termination
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
